Two different actions
Cancelling a subscription stops future charges and leaves your account intact until you decide to come back. Closing the account cancels the subscription immediately and permanently erases your data. The second one cannot be undone – not by you, and not by our support team.
How to close the account
- Open Settings in the cabinet and expand "Payments & subscription".
- Scroll to the "Delete account" block at the bottom of the panel.
- Press "Unsubscribe and delete my account".
- Read the list in the confirmation window, type your own email address in the field, and press "CONFIRM ERASE".
Nothing happens until you type your email and confirm. The same window has a "Keep my account" button if you change your mind.
In the IN-STORE mobile app
- Sign in to the IN-STORE app and open Settings.
- Select "Payments & subscription", then "Unsubscribe and delete my account".
- Review what will be removed and confirm.
You do not need to contact support when you can sign in: the app cancels the subscription and starts the deletion right after your confirmation.
What is deleted
- Your profile, email address and contact details.
- Your intake answers and account settings.
- Your content, media plan and uploaded files.
- Your stored payment profile and billing links.
What we are required to keep
- Invoices and payment records, for seven years, as tax law requires.
- Encrypted backup copies, overwritten by the normal backup rotation within 30 days.
- Content already published to your own website or social accounts.
We do not store raw payment-card details. No refund is issued for the part of the period you have already paid for. To use the time you have paid for, cancel through "Manage billing" first and close the account later.
If you cannot sign in
When you no longer have access to the cabinet or the mobile app, email legal@in-store.ca from the email address connected to the account. Use the subject "IN-STORE account deletion request" and include your full name and company name.
We may ask for a few details to confirm you own the account. We respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires it. For the full text, see Section 16 of the Privacy Policy.
